The National Library of Australia have launched a new Discovery service prototype.

There’s a host of helpful background information on the National Library’s new discovery service.
Before you start to search, check the information under the “About” link on the top right of the home page.
You can send comments about the prototype to the Library’s development team through the “Feedback” box on the home page.

I was wondering if it was possible to create a simple XML-based (or JSON) API for the website so that sites like mine could effectively (and accurately) update their information against a verified data source.
I ran into some confusion with the cabinet reshuffle, and supplied CSV on aph.gov.au for both the senate and house of reps is too unstructured for automated processing.
For the insertion of data from these sources, I've had to basically crawl the APH.gov.au website as there was no other structured way to do this. For insertions this is fine, but updates is proving to be much harder.
I would love to discuss this in more detail with you if you wouldn't mind
