My name is Vijay Santhanam (developer...Hi Roxanne,<br /><br />My name is Vijay Santhanam (developer of http://TweetMP.org.au).<br /><br />I was told to contact you about aph.gov.au website feature requests. @CraigThomler said you would listen to feedback about that APH.<br /><br />Please contact me at vijay.santhanam@gmail.com to discuss more privately.<br /><br />I was wondering if it was possible to create a simple XML-based (or JSON) API for the website so that sites like mine could effectively (and accurately) update their information against a verified data source. <br /><br />I ran into some confusion with the cabinet reshuffle, and supplied CSV on aph.gov.au for both the senate and house of reps is too unstructured for automated processing.<br /><br />For the insertion of data from these sources, I've had to basically crawl the APH.gov.au website as there was no other structured way to do this.
